Peek inside my make-up bag

Yesterdays First Friday was meant to be about my brand new (to me anyway) Instax 200 camera, I'm so excited about this! However the film hasn't arrived yet *advantage point to digital*  so instead and a bit late here is a peek into my make-up bag.

Foundation : Lancome Teint Miracle in 101
Flawless foundation that really makes a difference to my look so much more polished than if I skip this step and essential for covering my annoying red cheeks (think bright red from ear to nose and chin rather than a sweet pink flush!) I have used lancome for ages and it used to be Teint Idole, until a lovely assistant in John Lewis suggested trying the miracle which was lighter and more moisturising than the idole and cheaper too!

Mascara : Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes
Also suggested by the lovely John lewis assistant!after spending ages working out how to use the tapered brush properly this really makes my eyes look a lot bigger, does a great job curling and doesn't irritate my eyes at all. Its easy to remove but stays in place all day and doesn't require multiple coats to get the look I want but can be built up for the evening.

Eye-liner: Lancome le crayon khol in noir
Amazingly this came free with my eye-liner but I will definitely buy it at full price as it is so much softer than the many others I have tried but nice and dark too.

Concealer : YSL Touche Eclat No 1

I adore this. I have been buying it for ages as under eye circles is my biggest beauty problem! Everyone raves about this product and I have tried a few cheaper versions as well but always come back to this one. I try to time it so I have one for my birthday (July) and one for Christmas as it is so expensive but it lasts pretty well . Does get a bit mucky looking though.

Lipstick : Clinique different lipstick in 04 a different grape
This lipstick came as part of a lipstick/gloss duo in the Clinique gift set I had for Christmas last year, I didn't like the gloss much but the lipstick was the perfect shade for me so I have now bought it again. I love Clinique packaging and I adore the whole Clinique skincare range too.

Blusher : Bobbi Brown
This was a gift from my sister I'm so impressed that she picked the perfect shade for me, Its very pigmented so a very light sweep is all I need but I had to have a few goes before getting it right. This has lasted me ages as I use it every day and it still looks barely touched excellent value for money.

Brushes : Bodyshop blusher & eye-shadow brush and un-branded foundation brush
I love the range of bodyshop brushes and they come in great gift sets at Christmas at reasonable prices too! My really expensive foundation brush that I bought with my Lancome foundation has become so clogged up with make up that however much I try to clean it I still get an orangey tinge to my face. I really need to have a brush cleaning routine. Now I use a brush that was less than £5 from boots its not as nice as the Lancome one but it does the job and is not orange yet.

I am missing a great eye-shadow a primer and an eyebrow pencil / kit. So I am on the hunt for these to complete my kit, I hate card packaging or anything to grown up looking so its not easy for me to find things, but I will hopefully be updating you soon with my new finds.
